 Over the past several years, MuniFinancial has assisted the Recreation and Park District with a variety of consulting projects related to the three Landscaping and Lighting Assessment Districts currently in place. Our assistance has included the annexation of new development into the existing districts, benefit analysis, assessment re-engineering and diagram preparation. In the Spring of 2004, the County Board of Supervisors expanded the scope of our work to include complete annual administration of the assessment district. Our effort has included an overall review and audit of the district to ensure that all parcels are accurately billed. For this effort, we utilized Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology, which significantly increases the quality of an audit, and makes the results of the findings easier to understand. We are also responsible for accurately billing the 27,000 parcels in the districts on the County Secured Property Tax Roll each year, along with preparing the Engineer's Report for the annual renewal of the assessments.
